Abstract
We place each of the 37,544 wipes recorded over the last 4 weeks on a grid of weekday and hour1. Thursday is the busiest wipe day, with 31% of all wipes, and 18:00 UTC the busiest hour, with 12%. 30% of the servers online publish a monthly schedule. The next force wipe is on Thursday 5 November at 19:00 UK time, in 9 days and 2 hours; 174 servers with players are expected to wipe within a day, and 525 wiped in the last one.

1Introduction
A wipe is the moment a server resets its world. This page reports when servers actually wiped, taken from the last recorded wipe of each server in the 37,544 tracked, not from published schedules. It gives the force wipe countdown, a week-by-hour heatmap of wipes, the busiest days and hours, the spread of weekly, biweekly and monthly cycles, and the next and last wipe for each server.
2Results
Figure 1 counts the wipes in each hour of the week, Monday first, in UTC; the darker the cell, the more servers wiped in it. Servers that wipe on a weekly rhythm darken the same hours every week; a force wipe inside the window shows as one dark cell on its Thursday.

2.4The force wipe
Every server wipes at the force wipe, the first Thursday of every month at 19:00 UK time, with the game update [1]. The next is on Thursday 5 November at 19:00 UK time (19:00 UTC); the last was Thursday 1 October. Until the next:

2.5Wiping soon and just wiped
174 servers with players on are expected to wipe by this time tomorrow [2], and 525 put up a new map since this time yesterday [3]. Tables 5 and 6 give the busiest of each.

Appendix AQuestions
A.1When do Rust servers wipe?
Every server wipes at the monthly force wipe, which Facepunch schedules for the first Thursday of the month when the game updates; the force wipe countdown gives the exact date and time. Between force wipes, each owner sets a separate cycle. The heatmap above counts recorded wipes by weekday and hour in UTC, so it shows the days and hours actually used rather than the ones advertised.
A.2What is the difference between a map wipe and a blueprint wipe?
A map wipe resets the world: bases, loot and anything built on the map are removed. A blueprint wipe also clears every learned crafting recipe. Many servers map-wipe on their own cycle but hold blueprint wipes to the force wipe or skip them entirely. The settings recorded for each server show which of the two a given wipe was.
A.3How often do Rust servers wipe?
Cycles are counted from consecutive recorded wipes on each server and grouped into weekly, biweekly and monthly bands. The table above gives the count and share of servers in each band, measured against a 7, 14 and 30 day interval with a tolerance for late or early wipes. Servers with irregular or one-off wipes are listed separately rather than forced into a band.
