Abstract

We describe the public Rust server Test, reached at 166.1.144.212:25066 and hosted in EU. At the last check it held 0 of 100 places, against a seven-day mean of 0 and a peak of 21. It ranks #5,505 of all servers, the top 25%, and #1799 in EU. It makes a new world every few hours (15 this week), so it keeps no wipe schedule.

2Population

Figure 1 follows the players on the server at three scales: every five minutes over two hours, the hourly mean and peak over 48 hours, and the daily mean and peak over 90 days. Dashed uprights mark its wipes.

3Performance

We query the server directly for its frame rate, entity count and memory4. Low frames per second and a climbing entity count are what players feel as lag (Figure 2).

4Rank

The server stands in the top 25% of all ranked servers, the top 62% in EU. Rank is on player hours over the last seven days, and 1 is best; Figure 3 draws it day by day.

About the server

A.1Does Test perform well?

Its average server fps over the last 48 hours was 188, with a minimum of 90. The highest number of entities it carried was 67,158, comprising buildings, deployables and all other objects. Memory use peaked at 2,704 MB. Players experience lag when fps is low and the entity count is rising.

A.2What is the location of Test?

In Europe, according to its own listing, Test appears with the EU tag. Rust Statistics does not look up the machine's location; it shows where the server says it is. 166.1.144.212:25066 is its address.

A.3How reliable is Test, and is it currently online?

Test is online at this time. The uptime it reports indicates a restart about 33 minutes ago. The server was up 57% of the time over the last 7 full days, 96 of 168 hours. Its first appearance in Rust Statistics's records is 11 October 2026.

A.4What is the Rust version for Test?

Rust network protocol 2635 and build 168909 is the version that Test runs, on Linux. Joining requires your game to be on the same protocol, and Steam updates it automatically.

Wipe timing

A.5What schedule does Test follow for wipes?

No wipe schedule is kept for Test, which replaces its world every few hours; those resets do not count as wipes.

Player count

A.6How does Test compare with other Rust servers in the rankings?

The seven-day player-hours ranking gives Test #5,505, in the top 25% of ranked servers and #1,799 in Europe.

A.7At what level does Test operate in terms of players?

The current population of Test is 0, drawn from 100 slots. Over the last week the count averages 0 players and reaches 2 at its height. Of the last 48 hours, the peak hour falls at 07:00 UTC, with an average of 2 players.

Tags and filters

A.8What is the meaning of the tags on Test?

gmvanilla (Game mode): This is survival in its vanilla form; mp100 (Max players): The slot count is 100; ts8 (Group limit): 8 per team, the value the game sets by default; v2635 (Protocol): Your game must run protocol 2635 to connect; cs168909 (Build): Build 168909 is the one running; ptrak (Networking): The network layer is RakNet, standard for the game; $r? (Region code): No region code is set; ^w (Weekly): A weekly wipe cycle applies; ^v (Vanilla): Nothing is changed from Facepunch's release: rates, kits and rules are as shipped; ^z (Modded): Modded listing: plugins or settings modify the game; ^y (Carbon): This server uses Carbon for its plugins; EU (Europe): Europe is the region it appears under in the server browser: these are the tags Test publishes, and the server browser reads them. The tags also carry current players, queue length and world creation time, shown at the top of this page.

A.9Where can Test be found among the Rust Statistics lists and filters?

The Rust Statistics lists that Test fits are: European Rust servers and Modded Rust servers. These filters on the server list return it: Region: Europe; Type: Vanilla and Modded; Server tag: Weekly ^w, Vanilla ^v, Modded ^z and Carbon ^y; Group limit: 5 or more; Wipe schedule: Weekly; Last wipe: In the last 24 hours.

Rules, settings, map

A.10Which settings and rules are in force on Test?

The name of Test states no gather rate. At 8 players, the group limit equals the game's default. survival is the game mode here; gather, build and raid: the standard game. Fighting and raiding between players are both permitted. The server browser lists it as Modded, where plugins or settings alter the game. Carbon plugins are running. It describes itself as vanilla, which is to say nothing is changed from Facepunch's release: rates, kits and rules are as shipped. VAC is active: that is Valve's anti-cheat.

A.11On which map does Test take place?

Generated by the game from seed 123456789, the procedural map on Test measures 3,000. Because size and seed determine the map, RustMaps can show it, linked from this page.

A.12How do you connect to Test?
