Rust servers for new players

What the columns measure. Population is the connected player count recorded at the most recent refresh; the site polls every server every five minutes, so a figure can be up to five minutes old. Last wipe and Next wipe are taken from the server's own reported schedule where one is published; where none is published, the field is blank rather than estimated.

Where the sample is thin. The name match finds servers that advertise themselves as suitable for new players. It does not find servers that are suitable but do not say so, and it does include servers that use the word loosely. Group limits, gather rates and region appear only when the server name states them; an empty cell means unstated, not vanilla.

Sort order is by live population, which rewards servers that are busy at the moment you read. For learning, population is a weaker guide than wipe timing: a server that wiped two days ago has passed its first rush, while one that wiped an hour ago is crowded with fresh spawns. Use the Last wipe and Next wipe columns to judge where a server sits in its wipe cycle.

The filters above the table narrow the list by name, tag and server flags. To search on a word, type it in the name filter; to see the full set of servers without the name match, open the server directory. Readers who want lower-pressure rules should start from the PvE list; those who want a small group limit should read the solo servers page. Counts on this page change at every refresh, so treat 487 as a reading, not a constant.
